Thought-provoking, Bert; perhaps all those answers to the question of why you perform are right. For me it is partly because I know I can convey a message as well as entertain when I speak publicly, and I feel an obligation to reach the unconverted that way. Words and delivery matter. Your final image of the dancing crowd was full of hope; thanks! And thanks for showing us some of those great op shop clothes…

Another reason is that it's often a lot of fun - certainly, that's a big part of why I've done a lot of gigs with the great Pete Hay over the years!
